I really ought to put a limit on how many of a single type can generate. But :effort:

For those who weren't already aware, this is based on the type frequencies put in place by GameFreak so the dexes should be ... pretty okay. But a little funkiness is expected.

If you're making a fangame out of your dexes or whatever, it's probably best to generate a few times and like ... manually balance that shit.

I wouldn't be comfortable accepting money for this. But what are your ideas?

Thanks OP. I plan on using this to possibly make a pokedex for a rom hack with purely fakemon with a a select handful of regular mons

Ha, glad to hear it. Good luck on the rom hack. Odds are against you in terms of finishing, but I'm sure you'll have fun while you're working on it

Some ideas I said I had:
Not let a mon lose a typing upon evolving without reason;
Before generation, a checklist to choose which regional variants you want in the dex (bugs, birds, rodent, pikaclone, legendary trio, legendary duo, fish, fighting/ghost/rock three-stage lines, etc);
Add a database of animals, objects and others to make it generate together with the typing;
Make it available to write a name besides the dex number;

An option to export it to an spreadsheet;


Graphical improvement would also be welcome.
