You get Wynauts by using Lax Incense, and baby Wobbuffets without it. The incense actually causes birth defects, which gives you Wynauts instead of baby Wobbuffets.

People may intentionally breed for these "pre-evolutions" for whatever reason they may have. Kinda like how in real life, some people want "teacup" dogs, which are actually smaller/weaker versions of regular dogs, and may or may not be the result of cruel breeding practices.

Charizard is Yu Lung, the pilgrim's horse (Rapidash) that is actually a dragon (Charizard) cursed to be a horse.

Typhlosion doesn't fit into that because they didn't think of it until gen 5, when the decided since they already have the monkey, they might as well do the pig, and they guessed the horse and the dragon could be things they already counted

My bad, I misworded that. Not super common together, but super common traits.
A plethora of legs, pointed head, and a beak are all common traits, which make similarities of them very easily coincidental.
Now, if Giratina had a scaly back, and the legs were all small and bony, I could see a connection. That would be too many common traits, even if they are common traits.

I still haven't played Sun and Moon yet, (don't kill me..) but it's interesting that Colress uses a Porygon-Z in battle. Was he the one who created the Dubious Disc? That would imply he was working with Galactic, which is possible as we first see him working with Team Plasma, although he's not really on "their side," he just wants to conduct research.
