And quite honestly, even the way it some times progresses feels half assed. It's a slice of life that some times remembers "oh shit, gotta throw something significant there" and barely does it so. I wouldn't have minded the whole slice of life if it weren't for the fact that the show itself is just so goddamn bland and barely tries to get the viewer's attention asides from "g-get ready to laugh, this time we're definitely gonna do it!" while making the cast perform odd looking expressions that look way out of place.

I've been laid plenty enough though. I'm proud of being an anime and Pokefan and I'm not afraid to trumpet it. My last girlfriend was too, she had a DA and everything, she was into drawing fanart and such, and we're still on good terms today.

But seriously, it's one thing to have some healthy level of interest in animu and other stuff like Pokemon, it's another to go too far in outwardly showing your interest in children's show shit that most adults aren't interested in, especially when it's aimed primarily at preteens (of the opposite sex in this specific case) in another country with a totally different culture than in the West.

Luckily there are still plenty of grills who are into Pokemon in the West and all, but even then a lot of them won't be quite so generous in how they view you if you're loading up on merchandise for little girls.
