Fairy shouldn't be SE against Fighting because Fairy, Fighting and Bug should all represent the trifecta of "good and justice". Psychic isn't part of this trifecta because of its weakness to Dark.
So, Fairy should simply be neutral against Fighting. Bug should also resist Fairy.
Fairy also needs a weakness; Fire easily comes to mind since it resists Fairy.

Water has had similar issues for a long time (weak to two types, one of which is rarely seen as a major threat in the meta). Make it weak to Poison, and it should knock it down a peg.

From there, GF needs to work on making competitively viable Poison types to control Water and Fairy. In turn, Psychic can make a return to meta (its currently outclassed by Fairy), as would Fire. Since everything can also learn EQ, Ground would be plenty capable of keeping Poison checked.

That Garchomp is still good after 3 damn gens and after every fucking gen introducing something that competes with it or nerfs it in a way is a goddamn miracle.
