What does /vp/ think of Substitute?
very useful when dealing with stall
>>32130074
very annoying when used by stall
>>32130060
I wish attacks never missed when substitute was targeted. A big reason why evasion is so dangerous because even if you manage to pull off a miracle and hit them after a few minimizes, you have to pull it off over and over if they can spam sub
>>32130060
where do I buy one of these?
>>32130105
>playing VGCancer
>Pokemon is seeded but is busy boosting
>get up a sub
>finally get attacked
>keep setting subs
>the Pokemon slowly loses all of its health while I'm safely behind my sub
>>32130060
Best school days I ever had, and the REAL teachers.
>>32130060
The only plushie I ever considered buying
>>32130100
Stall doesn't even use subs, what are you talking about? Stall doesn't have room to waste with subs.
>>32130060
It is, hands down, the best move in the game.
>>32130570
Gliscor disagrees.
>>32130619
>gliscor
>stall teams

>>32130570

>>32130619

>>32132275
what the fuck are you playing where minimize sub is a thing
>>32130060
Would fug
Substitute is one of the very few interesting and creative moves which also manages to be useful. There are plenty of interesting and useful Abilities, but moves tend to be bland, and the ones which aren't just "x goes up y stages" or damage tend to suck.
>>32130665
>the NEET
What?
how do i fug it?
>>32130060
more like Scrubstitute
>>32130100
>any even remotely defensive strategy is stall
/vp/ astounds me yet again with its sheer competitive retardation.

>>32134090
>showing currently the best set is cherrypicking
>showing sets from 2013 isn't
Gliscor WAS used on stall teams but ever since ORAS happened it changed
>>32139211
Just because it's the only set on one site in a 6month old meta, doesn't make it the best set.
I can show you 6 years where it was a top OU stall mon to your six (actually about 3) months.
Let me fill you in:
Gliscor has ALWAYS been a stall/bulky support mon.
Even before poison heal, it typically ran two attacks, a setup/support move, and roost.
The Ground/Flying typing alone helps give it key resistances, notably Fighting, that worked as glue when paired with Blissey (dp) and Chansey.
It is also on of the best toxic spreaders, because it doesn't worry about Sychronize and Magic Bounce.
It actually benefitted from Gen 6 due to Knock Off becoming an additional utility it could use to combat other stall teams.
What happened with ORAS is that severalmons picked up an Ice Punch Move Tutor and Landorus became a more viable alternative by virtue of existence.
Even still, Gliscor remained a solid answer to non SD variants to Landorus and easily dealt with them 1v1.
IN FACT, Gliscor became an extremely solid option for stall teams again with the advent of Mega Sableye.

the whole point of sub is to use it when you think they're gonna use a status move or switch, that right there is anti stall
