When was the last time a main series Pokemon game was good?

Sun/Moon. Before that, OR/AS. Before that, X/Y. Before that, B/W2. Before that, B/W. And so on.

They're all varying degrees of "good," but they're all "good." To think otherwise is to have no perspective on what overall is a "good" video game.

Depends on if you count "passable". If so then every game in the series except DP and XY can qualify.

I mean exactly what I said. They're all good games. Some are better than others. They all have flaws. But they're all objectively "good" games at minimum. If you think that any are bad, you have a warped sense of what a "bad" video game truly is.

XY are fucking bad. Im not meming either, and I generally like everything in Pokemon. But XY has shit pacing, a shit story, shit characters, shit difficulty and a shit region. it was the first time I disliked a pokemon game and was the first time I was fine with giving away a pokemon game.

Other than that, I agree, even if SM and FRLG are mediocre
