what's the most efficient way to tank my rating? is there a pattern? Someone said there was one a few threads back but I can't find it.

Do you just forfeit three times in a row and then win against the computer layer? or is there something better?

I'm new to the game and have a really shitty team (no EXs, a Shuppet, a Ralts that can't evolve, a Goomy that can't evolve, Squirtle, Pikachu, and Mawile). I have some Tyrogues, Bidoofs, a Poliwag, and some Dedennes too but I don't think these guys are good.

I got lucky last night because people were forfeiting against me for some reason. Now I'm stuck at like 1800 and I win about a third of my matches (not counting the heracross bug guy) and my rating won't go down whenI lose.

I've seen enough Salamence, Ray, and Burbs to make trying to evolve worth while in some matches. You are generally correct though. That three MP Vibrating Sound is crazy for goal sprinting.

I know that at the beginning of the month when everyone received their 10-30 booster tickets, some people were talking about waiting for the new figures to be put into rotation before using the tickets. what do you think the next gym will be?

so far we've had:

water/electric (during the japanese only release)
flying/ice
fighting/psychic
dragon/fairy

Since poison's only weaknesses are ground and psychic, that means we could have a poison/ground gym at some point. Poison is strong against grass and fairy, so grass/poison is another possibility.

ghost's only weaknesses are itself and dark type. Ghost is also only strong against itself and psychic. We've already had a psychic gym, so I guess Ghost/Dark is definitely happening.

I'm sure we could figure out most viable combinations. It's like a game of Sudoku but bad.

personally I think the next gym is going to be grass/bug or steel/fire with the new overpowered meta changing figures introduced being Shaymin/Celebi and Jirachi.

I lost a 6 streak before the game could even start because of 'unexpected error. returning to title screen' followed by 'unable to resume duel'

lost an 8 streak the same way but cant remember if it was this gym or the fighting one

without thinking about new figures they'll add for this one, I think the best grass types would be Chesnaught, Venusaur, and maybe Torterra assuming they keep the same gym pattern and buff grass types' MPs. Tropius might be good too, especially for newer players.

Genesect doesn't really benefit much. It's still going to hit Techno Charge most of the time. 140 damage for Techo Blast is crazy but the chances of getting that to hit are so low. Scyther might be good if grass gets a power buff. Maybe Armaldo too. Grass type is really lacking.

I hope we get Joltik/Galvantula as our bugs and at least Chikorita and Meganium as our grass types. It's weird how we have Bayleef but nothing else from that line

That's actually really interesting. Price and manual spinning causing problems were the first two problems I thought of when I realized this may have been a real thing too. If they re-released the figures in the game currently but left off the wheel part I would totally spend way too much money collecting a bunch of them. On Vibrava Clvl1, it's better to upgrade Mud Shot than Dragon Breath right?
I feel like I run into more 40s (eevees, deo-s, etc.) than 70s (xerneas, salamance, etc.), and Mud Shot is bigger.
The only thing I can think is that when Mud Shot ties it benefits me even without getting a kill, and I see lots of 42s but barely any 71s or 72s, so maybe it's not that big of a difference.

If i go first I rush. Usually cosmo energy and vibrava pressure. I usually gain at least one corner and then i just line up figures around the second corner until i control that. Going first is pretty easy.

If I go second I'll through my vibrava in the middle of the board and put trapinch down if they head for the corner. Then I use deoxys A and Lucario to try and knock out some pink stuff.

I run hurdle jump, scoop up, switch, double chance, and cosmo energy. I love scoop up kills when positioning vibrava just right of the goal

I decided to tank my rating in league matches because I have three rainbow boosters to get through so it's going to be a long time until I can open anything else. If figured I would try for some easy wins to get my locked boosters done quicker. Don't do this. It's not worth the hassle

I only got the streak because I started using gems. I figured if I got to a 8 streak and spent gems to get the rest of the way to 11, it would technically be cheaper than a quad pack while getting the same figures without plates.

I lost almost every match after 8 since every person had some kind of deoxys team. That's why my gym rating is so low.

Same thing happened to me in the flying gym. I even used the 'cheaper than a quad pack' logic too, and ended up with shitty pulls.

Actually managed to open 2 of them in this gym though though without spending a ton (one with a continue from a 5->6 box and another twice at 7->8 and 10>11)

There is the occasional shitter gemming though so sometimes it pays off. I got a lot of weaker guys on the first streak. A lot of people neglect the streak or just do the 2-box method.
