Why is snek thread so dead?

Pick one:
- These threads are mostly driven by a very small handful people doing all the dumping and discussion, so when 1 or 2 of them are gone for the day the thread goes nowhere
- The discussion always devolves into vore or furshit or worshiping fat snakes or whatever the fuck, so people are put off by it and don't bother posting here anymore
- People don't have enough new snake images to contribute and don't feel like posting old ones
- Snakes are not popular enough for large weekly threads

I'd say it's a mixture of 1 and 3, because there aren't many people out there drawing sneks, so there isn't much new art. Also there's probably like a few people at the start that just dumped a ton of images so it seemed popular at the time.

Can confirm, I'm one of the few people who dump images in these occasionally. I've been really busy as of late, so I haven't really thought much about these threads.

Point 3 is, I think, the major reason these threads seem to die. For some reason new snek art just isn't common. Just searching on my usual sites, it takes some time between a week and a month just for one new, decent image.

That being said, a lot of us are pretty good at keeping vore out of the threads, so I don't think that's really an issue. There's /trash/ for that sort of thing anyway, should it become a problem.

I have a huge Serperior folder -about 800 pics- but I prefer to keep posting images with the context of some conversation.
I would like to do something innovative for these threads. I was thinking in modelling and 3D printing a pot with a Serperior coiling around it, where I can plant something small, like a cactus.
I have some experience with Blender, so, theoretically I can make it. I don't trust too much in 3D printers though, everywhere I've seen 3D printed designs for robotics or device prototypes at my university, designs don't look good enough to print something of a figurine size.

However if somebody has access to a nice 3D printer, I can progress a bit in the 3D design.
