What do you like the most about pokemon?
The consistently good designs.

I just love all the designs and hearing about everybody's different tastes/favourites. I love listening to people's passions and seeing those odd picks for favourite Pokemon, it's great being able to know that they all receive love.

The world in Pokemon is my favorite aspect, which is the reason why comfy threads are my favorite threads

I agree. It's a pleasure that is almost superior to playing the games.
I wish they were more lore-heavy.

To add to this, I'm particularly fascinated by the concept of types. In other games, or even media and culture in general, you won't get much more than the few classical elements : air, fire, water, earth. Sometimes a couple more such as light/dark.
Pokemon takes EIGHTEEN of them and treats them all as being individually relevant and part of a living world. You get crazy shit like "poison", "fairy", "bug" or "dragon". After all these years we take them for granted, but have you ever stopped and thought about "Dragon" being an element just like fire or water?
I think that's fucking amazing.
I like how the poster count hasn't rises for the last four posts

The simpleness of it accommodated by great world building and nice designs.

Projection much?
Look at all those deletes
Also one of my favorite things about Pokemon is all the fanart
>>32104543
Encountering pokemon for the first time while playing a game and trying to catch them, bonus points if I have never encountered them ever before.
It's why I always embrace new generations and don't hold too tight to previous ones.
