Okay fellow sealfriends explain why you like Primarina so much. Weeding out true sealfriends.

I'll start:
I've been a fan since Gen 1, may favorite up until this point has always been Raichu. But I never knew Primarina would be everything I wanted in mon. I always knew it was a real thing since the leaks, and as soon as I seen it, I had I feeling O would end up enjoying it.

I think my a big reason for why I like Primarina so much, is because of a very personal reason. Ever since I can remember I've always considered sea lions to be favorite animals, and also I've always had a interest in marine biology even as a kid, which kind of fueled my interest in sea lions. But when I was in school I as fortunate to have the opportunity to volunteer at my local aquarium where I would help out and even learn more about some of the animals there. And by sheer amount of luck one day I was invited to feed and look after the sea lions, (of course I wasn't alone) I told the caretakers that I sea lions were my favorite animals and I had specific interest in them. So they decided to make me a caretaker of sea lion enclosure whenever I dropped by to volunteer. I even made friends with one of the sea lions there named Tomi. But eventually I to move and I couldn't visit/volunteer at the aquarium as much as I wanted to and eventually stopped going altogether, but those sea lions hold a special in my heart.

Also music has always been apart of my life, and I've been singing ever since I was a wee lad, and I've always thought mermaids were interesting.

It's also waifu material which is a plus

I'm a fan since Gen 1 too, and my honest to god reason why Primarina is my favorite Pokémon would be that I like good designs
Seriously though, I guess I'm just a fan of elegance in general. I liked the design a lot from the first time I saw it and all the good fan art, in-game animations and competitive viability just made Primarina better and better for me. Liking the whole line also helps.

There doesn't really need to be any ulterior reasons behind liking the things - I try to never look into why I may like or dislike something, I just continue enjoying what I do. Looking for reasons to like/dislike will always end up badly, you may just end up struggling to justify yourself, realise you only like something out of obligation or in the case of disliking it already just it even further into the pit of despair.

With all that said; I just goddamn love me them pinnipeds - all three families are in my top 10. Pretty great personalities and effeminate males for the line are also a huge plus.

Well being honest I shit talked the seal a lot during the pre-release. But I picked him anyway because my brother chose Rowlet and I really didn't like what Litten capped at.

The line just sorta grew on me during my run of the game. I think the refresh system helped.

To be honest I don't really care what reasons someone has for liking Primarina. Just liking it is more than enough for me.

I guess I like Primarina because the siren inspiration interests me and I've been part of a choir for most of my life, so I really like singing. I also just think Primarina is really cute, I love every aspect of its design, especially the hair and clown nose. It kind of reminds me of this obsession I had with elegant and feminine mons when I was little.

I like all three of Alola's final stage starters, but I was sticking to my guns on Popplio because I loved it from the start. I feel like, recently, people are doing their absolute best to make Primarina and Primarina's fanbase look as bad as possible (granted, it's true for all of the starters, not just the Sea Lion) and there has been way more negativity about it in general then there was in the past. I also feel like it's unfair to just blame others, though, and that I may have overlooked the bad side of the fanbase by just dismissing it as falseflagging, while getting too defensive about the opposite and making myself look like a bit of a fool.
At the end of the day I love Primarina's design, in fact I adore everything about it, but I also may have been taking way more baits than I want to admit because of that and I may have also offended/ashamed people in the fanbase itself while doing so.

I'll be as blunt as a blunt can be. I used to hate Primarina. Read: used to, and it was exclusively Primarina, never really the other pups, I love those pups.

Now I don't hate it as much, I'm slowly getting there. It's kinda taking a bit.

Point is, I legitimately mean no harm either, I just happened to voice my opinion some times. And I don't mean in a "ids shiiieeet" sense, that's something I actually try to avoid at all costs because that's just nasty overall. I have nothing against Primarina fans that mean no harm either. I actually tend to lurk every so often in these threads to get used to its design.

Maybe that's creepy, kek, but I dunno, I find myself coming to these often despite the "dislike" I either have or had with it. I don't really post though and if I do, I don't even try to make a fight, that shit's for meanies.

I might come off as a bit weird saying this but, the more I come to these boards, the more I realize to just, not bother with some shit. Rather, learn to ignore. Yeah, the porn's kinda eugh some times, but I guess it ain't easy for many and some memes are getting old and some shitposting is either weird or downright erp, but I guess that, if you ever feel like staying in these parts to hang around, you kind of have to let things pass by.

Some things might grind your teeth or make you raise an eyebrow, but some times, I often feel like not saying anything at all is better than saying anything. Dunno, just saves me a lot of breath and makes me rationalize a little.

You guys can either use this tip, or not. But you guys are alright and your threads can be a bit comfy. Be smart and stay on your toes, I suppose. Don't let hate get over you and just be more open-minded, but I guess you guys already are if you legitimately enjoy Primarina and that's ok.

Game Freak made some weird decisions with the coloring for the starters this generation. It still feels strange to me that Dartrix has its own color scheme and then Decidueye goes back to Rowlet's, when the shiny form seems like the logical progression. I like the transition from Popplio to Brionne and then to Primarina for the skin tone so I have no complaints there, but I think all three of the shiny form could have been way better.
