Whimsicott makes for good shenanigans with its ability, and a surprising amount of times it's come down to 3-4 figures of mine holding down my end of the board for the timeup win. Is there any glaring weakness anyone can see? I've only been completely assblasted by a Round team, Deo cancer is real but manageable

yeah I believe that to be stupid. Evolution is fine as it is when its worked off knockouts only. It gives an unfair advantage to figures like Goomy. Running Goomy ---> Sliggoo is nearly always better than just Sliggoo since Goomy is such a reliable evolution. You have to plan and work for Charmeleon to evolve though.

The timer is real annoying. That and getting matched up with low ranked but good figure having players when you're just starting and are also low ranked but don't have good figures is a pain too but that'll go away when I get good dudes.

Thinking about swapping Flygon on a 5x round team out for a mew since I got back to 2100 in the gym after tilting. Good idea y/n?

I'd lose a bit of insurance vs fly away rush bullshit since Flygon negates it and most of them don't dare to attack it t1, but I'd have a better chance to break Deoxys squads which seem to be pretty common higher up on the ladder

Could also maybe just use Vibrava since its slightly better against Deo-D than Flygon is. Wish that X SpAtk plate was permanent so I could boost supersonic

Vibrava/Kirlia have been putting in the most work knocking stuff out or blocking it from knocking me out, with Poliwag and Emolga stealing goals late game.
Should I get rid of some of these bad figures and blow the rest of my jewels on boosters or level up the dudes I'm working with?

A lot of the time it can be a crapshoot and whoever gets better spins is the winner.

One of the Sylveon on my team is dual c-leveled and has a good chance vs most rounders (all my other rares were shitty so I decided to c-level it for the tournament.

A big key to beating other round teams is to get my C-Leveled Sylveon up against another Sylveon, and make sure that I don't have Wigglytuff matched against their Sylveon because Wigglytuff has a weaker round and smaller round slice.

Flygon is there to be anti-rush/anti-offense and overall Vibrava might be better vs other round squads, but its purples can be pretty useful against round teams depending on the situation; it's helped me win a game by picking off a Wigglytuff goalie with Draco Meteor before

So overall I just set-up my defense, get everyone positioned and begin by attacking with the c-leveled Sylveon. Once you kill one rounder, everything becomes a lot easier and you have more license to be aggressive.

Jesus. Thankfully I was able to surround it and then the second one eventually flew right into a spot where Emolga could hop to the goal after he attacked. 15 wins now though.

Preferably something with a mixture of 2+ star purples and gold attacks. I use Natu, personally. Quick attack for Mirror Coat, Future Sight can end the turn or you can risk respinning for a knock out. Deoxys-A is great against it if you have the material to buy it. Zapdos too.

Either somebody wins within a minute because of some bullshit tactic or the game goes to time out. This has been what's happened for my last 20 or so games. The only way I can win now is by going hyper defensive and playing moves faster than the other person. It's just not fun.

I have two latios. Most of the time, running two seems like a bad idea, and a big liability. Should I just fuse them? Would 71 dragon breath make more sense than 121 luster purge? It's the larger chunk and I feel like more figures have 70s than 120s. The only other 120 I can think of is renuiclus hyper beam. And even if I did have 121 luster purge vs. their hyper beam (unlikely) they'll just respin until they hit confuse ray.

It depends on how much space you have and what other figures you've got.

You could save them for Magikarp when it and Gyarados go back into rotation.

If you have Charizard, I'd use them on Charmeleon. Charmelon is a pain to evolve because of its 50 power move. But 51 isn't so bad. It ties with Mew's psychic, Ho-oh's gust, etc. It's not horrible.

Shelgon would also be good.

I would not spend them on Dedenne/Goomy/Emolga/Cacnea/Doduo since all of these can be farmed from story mode (I think? Maybe not Emolda).

Not sure about Seedot and Grotle. I forget what these guys do. They're probably not worth using in that case.

Poliwag would be worth it if you're running a Manaphy team. But otherwise, you'd only really run Poliwag for Hypnosis. 20 damage, or even 21, isn't going to be doing much.

Buying more space is definitely worth it. 10 gems for 10 extra slots isn't that bad. Slowly increase your space over time when you feel like you're running out. Most people recommend keeping one of every figure (with some exceptions like Bidoof, Tyrogue. figures that will most likely never be useful even in a gym or special event).

Long ass version holy shit:
I try to get to a spawn with Deo-S early if possible. Trapinch can hold weak pokemon like shuppet down so that I have one less thing to worry about at the opponents side. I have a goal block in case they manage to kill Trapinch or switch with a flying type, with Vibrava it buys me at least one turn. Trapinch is also great against Deo-S, since I can hold it there without having to attack it (letting it swap), and it attacking Trapinch can get me a free evo if I want. If Trapinch is on my corner, and an opponent up the diagonal, I can hurdle jump (or get a lucky dig) to the middle without letting them take my spawn and potentially trapping two mons at once.
Arena trap doesn't work on flying types but the Kanto birds get demolished by Deo-A.
Aside from that it's just generic Deoxys pressure, Vibrava trickery, getting traps as much as possible (Vibrava helps), and praying Greninja rolls what I need.
I'd honestly like to try switching Greninja for Mew or maybe even Lati@s if I get one.
Cards are Cosmo Energy, Pokemon Switch (great for switching Trapinch to stop something that hurdle jumps me or something), Hurdle Jump, and Goal Block. I try to play safe so I don't find much use for X Attacks or Double Chances.

Not everyone runs X Attack Zapdos (CLvl+3) or Double Chance Rayylmao

Vibravas ability is written weird. When an opponent moves next to Vibrava their turn ends, they can't move any further or attack.
So if you are right below their goal (two spaces away), they can't run past from the left to get on the goal, instead they'll stop right in front of you without being able to attack, and you can hurdle jump over them.
Or you can put it by their spawn point, and they wont be able to bring anything in without waiting an extra turn.
It's really useful on offense if they opponent gives you enough room, or just really good at buying time and limiting movement.

paralyze does give him beastly damage though (110,110,130)

What's better to level up on Ho-oh: Fire Blast or Rainbow Wing?

Ho-oh can't really be used as a defender due to Rainbow Wing. If it's on the goal or next to it, it can cost you the match if you have to move away. It's better as an attacker, which is why I think Fire Blast would be better.

It's got Speed Booster and a 120 Earthquake with a 32-36 sized wheel slice and a 70 Crunch with a 36 wheel size
Its isn't impossible to beat considering 64 of its wheel is ≤70 attack and a miss, but the only thing I had that could win against that Earthquake was my Metagross' Hyper Beam, which I had a much lower chance of rolling and my Metagross really likes to job in crucial moments
