Pokemon Earth must be water world since most of it would be covered by water due to the small surface area of the regions. Team Magma did nothing wrong. But seriously anons is making a continent sized region really that hard?

Are you sure you didn't forget the spinoff regionds as well?
>>
>>32093085
obvious bait, but...
>implying all regions are completely surrounded by water
>implying there aren't hundreds and hundreds of in-land regions we'll never see.
>>
>>32093089
Like the rangers and shit?

>traveling the distance from los angeles to houston for you first gym battle on foot
>no running shoes yet
>wild pokemon attacking every 8 steps

Because they're all islands in the middle of an ocean. Who knows what other kind of landmasses where Guyana, lightening Americans and Indian elephants exist are in the world?
>>
>>32093101
uh yeah

How about now?
>>
>>32093085
I don't think the in game representation is 1:1 outside of alola.

>>32093089
Lets see
PMD is an entirely different world.
Ferrum (pokken) looks pretty small in scale, like a very small part of a bigger place.
Holon (TCG game) seems like a smallish island no bigger than Sardinia.
Orre is based on Arizona so it's probably that big.
Stadium and PBR take place on small islands so they're irrelevant.
Ranger regions are tiny. Smaller than the main games by a mile.
Any I'm missing here?

>>32093101
Those are 1:1 and are fucking miniscule.
>>
Is the map good enough yet or did I make the ranger regions too big?
>>
you do realize the poké world is SO big that people from a region doesn't even know other regions exist and which pokémon there are there...
>>
>>32093158
No based on my map the average region has a distance of around 1000kms which is half the length of America meaning they are fucking far way from eachother, Alola is basically in the middle of nowhere.
>>
>>32093169
oh sorry I forgot you created the franchise and the world is the size you want it to be...
>>
>>32093172
This is based on scaling the region from the real world map anon, you can tell what latitute the regions are in by looking at their biomes. A tropical region like Hoenn i in the subtropical area or tropical area. Kanto and Unova are more temperate thus more northern. Almia and Fiore are temperate but southern due to being in another hemisphere.

I know all the geography talk, but what I meant is you can't deduce the size-distance of the continents based on what we have now... the Poké-Earth could be SO big that you can't say it's a water planet since the other 99% of it we haven't seen could be land
>>
>>32093214
A planet being that large is not compatible with life.

You've got it all wrong dude. Pretty sure I remember some NPC in Hearthome City mentioning about how the first 4 gens are all part of a bigger country. Poke-earth is probably like our earth, but with slightly skewed geography. Pic related is how Poke-Japan probably looks (Sevii not included because I was too lazy)
>>
>>32093343
Just copy pasting Japan is boring though thats why the first three regions are split from eachother.
>>
>>32093357
>Just copy pasting Japan is boring though
Boring or not, Game Freak wanted the Pokemon world to be like a fantasy version of the real world. All the regions are geographically similar to the real-world places they're based on, so it makes sense that the planet as a whole would strongly resemble real-world earth.
>>
>>32093376
>theres a desert in New York
>>
>>32093398
Geographically similar doesn't mean everything is 100% identical. They take liberties here and there. Also the desert in Unova was heavily implied to be construction site rather than a naturally occurring desert anyways. Lumiose Badlands (an unexplained desert in a region with swamps and snow) was the only truly ridiculous thing they ever did.
>>
>>32093343
They'd still be the size of small islands, though, considering that all the real world inspirations, taken out of their countries, are tiny. Kalos would probably be the largest.
