I think that if they made Z or whatever name they'd given the supplemental Kalos version(s) last year and left SM until this year, we could've gotten the best of both worlds. Kalos without all of its glaring flaws, and SM with more of the dummied out stuff and possibly other improved things.

I honestly thought Megas were fine. Didn't like them when first announced but I think it's a good concept for Pokemon that people like but are shit. Seems SM only indicates Megas were a shitty one gen gimmick that they won't be touching again, which is disheartening since most Megas are from....Gen 1....
