Anyway I caught my shiny Haxorus (the BW2 free one) in a premier ball. I still feel shame.

I forgot to mention this is my first shiny fail. Feels bad, man

Only shiny fail was a Basculin in Pokemon Y that escaped Quick Ball and used Final Gambit

Don't really care much, it sucks that I missed a shiny but Basculin is shit and has a shitty shiny

my first failed was actually in pokemon Prism. I was in a forest area where you play as your pokemon. The trainer holds onto the bag as the pokemon goes in, so there's no way to use anything from it. i ended up running into a shiny chingling

ive only caught 3 legit in my life. my first one was back when i was new to pokemon. i was in Mr. Backlot's garden when i ran into a staravia. it was a different color than normal, and sparkled, so i caught it. i didnt learn it was shiny until after i lost the cartridge.

OP here. I remember last year when I almost failed shiny Ho-oh on ORAS because it ran out of PP. Luckily I got a critical capture on my last ultraball

I was playing platinum and turned away from the screen, when I turned back I saw a purple gligar. I was used to gligar's pink I thought it was a shiny. I looked it up and nowadays shiny gligars are purple, once I saw it come out of the ball in combat and fought a trainer with one I realized it was a normal gligar.

1, the shiny was a chingling. Mediocre shiny with only a slight change.
2, it's in an unofficial, fanmade game that isn't able to legitimately transfer to the real games, so it would be pretty temporary rather than something he could bring to future games and remember.
3, it's a romhack. You can cheat in shit all you want and it'll be as legit as anything else in the romhack, since it's just that, a hack. In the actual game you have to mess around with the SD card/hack it or cheat devices to do it for you.

Not much of a fail, but I caught a shiny Growlithe and wanted it to be a competitive arcanine, but I accidentally had it forget flare blitz which it can't relearn once it evolves. Using overheat instead. Smh
