I still can't believe people genuiinely think that any pokemon has been shilled harder than Lucario. Charizard didn't really get shilled until over 15 years after his reveal; Greninja took 2 years to get dickrided; but Lucario? Lucario had shit like this and a whole movie about him before his gen even released. It's despicable.

This shit is why Lucario is the hardest shilled period. Extra forms and movie appearances or whatever, you can look past those. If you don't care, you can just ignore it. But this stuff was so in your face it was insane. Like it assumed you were already a huge fan of Lucario.

Thing is, it worked...to a certain extent. Got into Pokemon in 2006, my original fave was Grovyle. then saw the Lucario movie and he proceeded to be my favorite for years...until I played XY and then PMD Explorers of Sky.

Gen 2: Lugia
Gen 3: Blaziken
Gen 4: Lucario
Gen 5: Was supposed to be Zoroark, but the actual one ended up being Zekrom
Gen 6: Greninja
Gen 7: Will probably be Incineroar once Ash catches Litten and it fully evolves

Lucario is just the only one that isn't a starter or legendary
