Where specifically was it stated that only Ash's Greninja was able to become Ash-Greninja? The way that's phrased sounds stupid, I know, but the anime clearly states that it's just a very rare phenomenon that's occurred in the past, and the official website for SM even mentions the bond phenomenon.

Not to mention that the way Ash-Greninja works even fits with the lore for Pokken, what with how Synergy works.

Case in point, Y (Serena)'s Greninja in Adventures also has the Battle Bond ability.

It's not exclusive to Ash's Greninja, it's just a very rare ability that only a select few Greninja have, Ash's being one of them.

Ash-Greninja =/= Bond Greninja. If he does Battle Bond where it matches the trainer's customization, that would be tantamount to "fixing it", like I said. If he even foregoes the stupid hair shit and just gives it a fuma shuriken, that would be even better. As long as it's not specifically Ash's Greninja.

They are the same thing, Ash-Greninja is just the name of the form that Bond Greninja takes

They showed another Greninja from several hundred years ago that had the exact same form.

All Battle Bond Greninja look the same when they transform, the form is just called Ash-Greninja because it just happens to resemble Ash.

Small touches like that show that they care a lot about internal consistency. If they add Greninja it won't have Ash's stupid shit.

Atleast two more Mewtwo and Pikachu clones each, and maybe a Fire Emblem character.
