The game should probably note that the ship is something to go to, maybe have a Karma grunt blocking the last gym until you beat the Ruse Cruise 2, and he brings it up. The plot with Karma isn't done yet, which will finish in the full release.

A new update that rebalances a lot of Pokémon is now available.
In addition, a couple of things have been fixed/added:

Fixes:

>A couple of Pokémon have had their cries updated/changed
>The hint where you need to go after beating Memes Inc is now easier to get
>A bug with Lil' Bro's battle on the Karma Boat has been fixed
>Aftermath no longer crashes the game if the attacker already fainted (by recoil, destiny bond, etc)
>False Swipe now works properly
>Fixed a rare bug where the Blacksmith Manor event wouldn't activate (if this is happening to you, exit the manor completely then go back in)
>Certain moves, like Geomancy have now been replaced by different moves
>Minor text fixes

Additions:
>An Itemfinder is now obtainable in one of the rooms you previously couldn't go into in Animango City
>Oreon is now obtainable in the wild (1% encounter rate on Route 22)
>The ball swapping service in Animango is now available

And after much complaint, Pokémon obedience levels have been tweaked to the following:

Yes, you can still use your save file, just make sure you're patching on a CLEAN rom of "1636 - Pokemon Firered (U)(Squirrels)" instead of patching onto the rom you're currently playing on, or som bugs might still persist.

I got lucky and caught a Lonely Puppacti with 30 IV Attack, and EV trained it in Attack and Speed, and levelled it to 45 for Sucker Punch. This is from earlier.

Already surpassed my level 64 Mudslacks (not EV trained and shit IVs) in both Attack and Speed.

I wanted to grind it to evolve for the Pokedex entry. I didn't think I'd like it enough to catch one with decent IVs and nature, then EV train it to this point. Holy fuck.

If you use a move that doesnt affect the target, the secondary effect still applys.

For example, using Dragon Tail on a fairy type still forces them to switch out despite not doing damage.

Discovered this through use of Metronome if this changes things.

Found a bug in latest patch. If you have a mon with speed boost in lead and encounter a ghost, you will be unable to flee, even if you switch pokemon. Using anything else as lead doesn't have any problem at all.

You either have to use a pokedoll or revert to a save before the battle since it will go on forever otherwise.

I started with a tile between me and the skeleton running left and right. Wait until the rotating skeleton is facing another direction and run once the running skeleton is one tile away from the wall. Immediately stop running once you reach the space with one tile between you and the rotating skeleton. Walk down one tile and left one tile into the safe tile.

Running skeletons must be ran past.
Running skeletons have a hitbox of 3 tiles.
Rotating skeletons must be walked past.

I'm just encountering it now and I understand it is apart of the challenge, but it seems like every pokemon after the Beehive timeplot has spore and other moves that instantly put you to sleep. Ayy, I made a new .cia for anyone on 3DS with the new patch. Saving is fixed (ignore the save corruption message at the start), but you'll need to dump and inject your save file using Decrypt9. It's fairly straightfoward (I dumped and injected the latest gbavc.sav I had, seemed to work fine, make sure to backup everything in case you inject the wrong one).
