Can we please agree that sand is the best weather?

What sand??
I don't see any sand...
>>32065212
I hate sand, it's coarse and it gets everywhere
>>32065304
There's some in my shoe!
>>32065212
Sun is hands down the only objectively patrician weather

having a special defence buff is cool and all but i wish there was a little more you could do with sandstorm, something like buffing rock type moves or something maybe a rock type solar beam iunno

for what purpose?

I'm cheeky and use sand veil gliscor with bright powder.
Sand has generally been used to disrupt other weather archetypes or just add some passive damage that would help wallbreakers and sweepers, but Sand Rush/Excadrill has changed that I suppose since it became the first good sand abuser. As far as I'm concerned, the image is only lacking Gigalith since it has Sand Stream now, but I don't know how old this image is.
That, and having a godamn pseudo legendary as weather setter is a large reason why sand is a successful archetype since both it and Hippowdon can serve more purposes besides setting sand.

All of them have abilities that negates weather or are unaffected by them, meaning they don't take damage or can help when facing hail teams.
>>32066018
Steel and Ground types are unaffected by Sandstorm's residual damage, and each fulfill purposes that other classic team members cannot fill, such as walls (Bronzong, Gliscor) or trappers (Magnezone, Dugtrio).
>>32065212
I haven't really run many weather teams, but pic gets points for Reuniclus and Mandi
>>32066080
I know that. That's why I was saying lickilicky wasn't random.
>>32065212
Pretty sure Tyranitar's Sand Stream is meant to represent it rampaging and causing dust and debris to fly everywhere.
>>32066459
That makes so much sense!
