>get Pokemon a few minutes in
>it carries you for the entire game
Why did they do this?
Are you seriously asking why a casual move is meant for casuals !?
Think before you post, asscream.
Avoid Grimer and Mudbray, they singlehandedly carry you through the whole game
If they didn't make it earlygame, by the time you would have found one it'd be on the Third or Fourth island just like Vulpix, Sandshrew and Exeggutor.
>>32064703
>Mudbray
>35 speed
yeah, no.
>>32064714
>Stamina
yeah, really
>>32064714
>base 100 Attack
>Stamina
>immediate access to Bulldoze
yeah, yes.
>>32064598
I dont get why people say this game is hard. Most totems die to z-moves or just decen t normal moves
Mimikyu can be hard because of its ability but everything else is pretty easy
>>32064714
I just replayed Sun and Mudsdale is great in-game
Starters always carry you through the games singlehandedly so ???
>>32064714
>You couldn't get away
yup
>>32064598
It's not exactly a new thing. Almost all starters do this.
Nidoking, Gyarados and such Pokemon are pretty great in Kanto.
Aggron, Ralts and such Pokemon are pretty useful in Hoenn.
Luxray and Staraptor are also pretty good in Sinnoh.
Stoutland and Conkeldurr can carry you through the entire game.
>>32064714
>Heavy Slam and Earthquake one-shots pretty much everything in-game that doesn't resist it plus it's a physical wall thanks to Stamina
High horse did what it does best - pull all the heavy weight
>>32064814
is that a fucking junji ito horse
>>32064818
>he hasn't read Berserk
>he doesn't recognize every single panel from Berserk manga
Remember me?
>>32064761
new unova literally gives you lucario just after second town.
>>32064598
Let's be real, nothing in SM happens 'a few minutes in'. You don't get your starter until like half an hour in at the earliest.
>>32064864
Oh yeah.
We had some good times buddy.
>>32064814
>>32064718
>100 Attack
For the first evolution? Pfft, that's just ridicul-
>it's real
N-NANI?!?!
>>32064761
Magikarp and Ralts don't count because you have to baby sit them for a little too long.
Nidoking tho, zoo wee mama, is a hard carry forever/
>>32064916
I love my Tsareena.
>>32064971
I guess you haven't look at Trapinch before, have you?
Does gen 2 even have a early game mon that can carry you? Feraligatr curbstomps the entire fucking game, that's for sure
>>32064598
infestation with poison touch was hilarious. Great way to stall.
>>32065024
Zubat evolving into Crobat if you're playing HG/SS
>>32065024
heracross?
>>32065024
Mareep
>>32065032
Heracross has no guts or fighting moves in gen 2
>>32065024
This guy made my team back in the day.
>>32065030
I'm doing a Silver run and in that game Crobat is just "ok", it can't even learn sludge bomb in gen 2
>waaaa i was carried through a piss easy game
>>32064864
>shit movepool except for random elemental TMs better used on Pokemon of that type
>mediocre stats
Nidoking is pretty much Blastoise-tier. Far from weak, but nothing impressive either.
>>32064714
Mudsdale is one of the best Pokemon to use in SM tho. It carries you through so many major battles it's ridiculous. High attack with instant access to Bulldoze means that it's useful right off the bat and it just keeps getting better with moves like Rock Slide, Heavy Slam and Superpower.
>>32065034
It has reversal 8^]
>>32065035
>Both its STABs are physical
Eh
>>32065024
Alakazam. You can get Abra pretty early, evolve it at 16, then trade to obtain Alakazam. At this point you buy the three elemental punches TMs that together with its Psychic Stab will break the game
>>32065024
Gyarados abusing Thrash?
>spend time getting this dude with lightningrod + thick club
>expect it to hit like a truck
>it's slow, frail, and does mediocre damage because NO MOVES
One of the biggest disappointments of the game. I carried him around until the E4, and he NEVER carried his weight. What a damn waste.
>>32065071
get gud
>>32065051
I just gave it Thunderbolt, Psychic, Ice Punch and Perish Song.
The last one was good for emergencies.
>>32065071
To be fair, its signature move is learned a level before it evolves, so you have to go relearn it.
>>32065089
anon, he may have a niche in OU, but A-Marowak is garbage in-game.
>>32065071
Same here anon. I carried this to the E4 and it would die to everything. Such a waste on such a sick looking Pokemon.
There's loads of this in the games.
>Lillipup in Unova
>Starly in Sinnoh
>Pikipek
>Nidos
>Johto Geodude
>>32065333
Any one for Hoenn?
>>32065391
Probably Mudkip. Especially once it evolves, considering there's no Grass type boss users, and Grass is an incredibly easy type to cover anyway.
>>32065071
I boxed mine before I even moved to the fourth island. Even after a Flame Charge(its best STAB move until lv.53 as Flame Wheel and Shadow Bone are move relearner moves) its still to slow to pull of a sweep. What a fucking joke.
Would this guy count as a carry-mon? His main downside is that reliable and strong rock-type moves don't exist.
>>32064718
>100 attack outside of NU, PU, or Little acupuncture
>good
>>32064814
>tapu fini survived
>Tapu Fini used Scald!
>>32065020
>trapinch loses 30 Attack when it evolves
>Flygon is so shit, that he's a 3rd stage evolution with the same attack stat as it's 1st stage.
>>32066864
>talking about in-game
>>32066864
>Tapu Fini used Scald!
Thanks for not burning me due to your terrain?
>>32065391
Ralts.
>>32065089
>get gud
>>32064916
This desu, got an adamant egg move whatever-ability-turns-into-queenly-majesty off wt and tore through the whole game
>>32064598
because pokemon is a game for children and will never cater to your adult wishes
>>32064598
I don't see the problem here! I'm pretty sure that you would have complained anyway if it was a later Pokémon or a post game one. You are a complainer, why do you this? That's the real question!
>>32064598
>get Pokemon a few minutes in
>it carries you for the entire game
Early game Scald was a mistake
>>32065524
maybe yours sucked
>>32066844
he can be, cant take a hit though
>>32064598
>drizzle pelipper
>magneton/zone
>primarina
sure their first evos are a drag but the power later on is unrivaled
>>32067099
Magnemite is pretty cool thanks to its Steel typing.
