Did bug really need a 7th type resisting it when other types like Ghost have only 2 types resisting their attacks?
>>32066799
Doesn't make a difference, since Bug type is already great. You want to talk shit types, talk to Ice or Grass. Even just in terms of offense, Bug is better than many.

>Even just in terms of offense, Bug is better than many.
Which type is undeniably worse than bug when it comes to offense?
Bug hits only grass, dark and psychic super effectively and hits 7 types for half damage, meaning many grass, dark and psychic mons don't get hit for double damage in the end because of their second type and it's usually terrible for coverage with that many resistances to it, save for a few exceptions on specific mons.
It's still used regularly, but that's because bug has some really good attacks like U-turn and Quiver Dance is a great boosting move.

Would you help Golisiopod with his anxiety issues, /vp/?
Always and 5ever
>>32064528
Because since real life bugs have so much variety, their designs can also have that.
>>32068942
But it is an isopod rather than a trilobite, but the point still stands.

This
I never really thought of why Bug types are so cool, but I think it comes down to the fact that bug types tend to have very specific real-life basis, and those real-life bugs are inherently cool, thus making them Pokémon greatly increases how cool they are. Yes, not all bug types are great, but there are a lot more good ones than bad ones.
