does anyone ever have issues starting a match in story mode? sometimes the match just never starts. I get stuck at the loading screen and it never goes away. It's really annoying since I have to restart the app every time it happens.

Is there a way to keep it from happening? It seems random. My internet connection is good, league matches work, I never get disconnected, etc. It's only story mode that I have problems with

I personally don't like Blastoise very much. He dies to yellows near 50% of the time and 2 stars for his purple doesn't feel strong enough a lot of the time. The fact that it breaks even on Dimensional Slip has fucked me a lot as well. I'd personally run Kirlia instead but take my advise with a grain of salt. I'm not Masters.

Has anyone tried abusing Google Rewards for this game?

When you download the GR on your phone for the first time and link your google account, you get $1 in play store credit after inputting your basic info.

Since Pokemon Duel isn't linked to a google account, when you go to purchase gems, you can select which account you want to use to buy them. So if your main account has $0 in credit you can use your credit card, if your other other account has $1 in credit you can use that, etc.

So, the idea is that you keep making new google accounts, get your free $1, buy $1 worth of gems, and repeat.

What do you think? Has someone thought of this before? I'm guessing someone has but I figured I'd put it here anyway

General strat is to rush a spawn point ASAP, before sticking Zapdos on my goal. If you open:
>move an MP3 to one of the middle tiles
>they'll counter with the opposite move
>move an MP3 three tiles up the outside of the board
>if they're retarded, they'll meet it
>hurdle jump, giving you sight of goal
>run another MP3 up behind your goal trap and take his Pokemon

Then just play reflexively. Scoop up and max revive are both incredibly good. Max revive especially, the amount of times I've had gren on a spawn point and a Pokemon behind it, before reviving something and capturing it instantly, is pretty crazy

(Both plates let you make a move after using them so they're great for surrounds and positioning plays)

If they at least had Azumarill in the game, I would be happy with it. It's actually great for a preevolution, since, like gothita and solosis, they don't have a purple segment, so you can slap an x-attack on it and get an almost guaranteed kill on something like Mew.

i have been playing since the 2nd week. never spent any real money on the game. only bought 1 sextuple pack when they were around and got a shitty delphox from it that carried me for literally the first two months since i've never gotten a single ex from a 4 pack for some reason. Then during the fighting gym as if god existed and he came down from the heavens i pulled like no joke 10 ex's. i got 100 wins total in the gym so do the math. every other 2box and timed booster i'd get an ex during that gym for some crazy reason. then as soon as the gym ended i stopped getting ex's again (except a giratina from a timed box).

I have an older phone that I use sometimes to test things with (is my actual phone working, etc.) and started playing Pokemon Duel with it on a new account yesterday. I'm 1500 and decided to do a Room Match. The guy I got paired with was a 2400 deoxys/reuniclusfag. I thought he would just forfeit like everyone else does but no, he played completely seriously the whole time. Cosmo Energy, Hurdle Jump, etc, etc. He even tried that Swap Spot bullshit with Deoxys S. I guess he had to do that Win 3 Room Matches daily mission and thought he could get an easy win against a new player. Somehow I beat him with Pikachu R, Monferno, Poliwag, Goomy, Squirtle, and Spearow.

I wish I took a screenshot but none of the hardware buttons work on this phone and gestures don't work correctly

Pokemon duel TLDR:
It's chess with pokemon characters, but everytime you want to attack another piece, both players will need to roll a dice, in the end, the player with most luck wins unless you have a broken figure like deoxis A or Reuniclus, if so you just force your luck into a good roll
