Mina is great, don't get me wrong, she's amongst my favourite characters in pokémon as a whole, but there's one confusing thing about her:
Why does she not use Smeargle?
It's a perfect match.
I know that Smeargle isn't a fairy, and that Mina is a fairy type user because of her odd personality (At least I'm assuming that that is the reason), but would it have been that much of a stretch to make her a normal user instead of Ilma?
I guess GF character designers may not be aware of 100% of the pokémon out there anymore. Understandably enough, there's a lot of them. Smeargle in particular wouldn't be memorable at all had it not carved a nieche in the meta with its infinite movepool.

Because she was a very depressed little child with a lot of issues that was able to overcome with the help of her Snubbull, drawing it everywhere. She saved herself with drawings and the love for a fairy type Pokémon. Nothing has to do with Smeargle being an artist Pokémon itself, it's just its gimmick, while Mina used her art as a way to surpass her fears and anxiety (also little girls love fairies).
