It's odd, but despite it all, Bonnie was the only one I cared about from the whole group.

Maybe it's because she was written as a legitimate child character, with its own restrictions due to being such and because of it, she grew endearing to us all due to her child-like innocence, which we all had and some of us still do. Ash and the rest are all a bit older than her, but they often feel like they're written in such a way, we've already come to expect their personality and mannerisms. Bonnie feels more like a "open" character while the rest feel like they should act like such.

SM Ash is trying to not become that, but at the same time, became a literal walking punching bag that only battles every so often and becomes almost a side asset towards everyone else.

There's an Ashnimefag who gets triggered at the Pokémon Special manga for whatever reason. If you enter a thread about said manga and see someone yelling about how it's fanfiction despite being officially licensed, it's that guy.

Pokémon Special itself is okay. It's a lot wilder and more dramatic than the anime, occasionally gets a bit edgy but mostly just in the first arc. Some people think the occasional edgy moments are the entire manga, which is why there's a vehement dislike of it by some people on /padt/. Overall it does shonen fine enough, and does it better than the anime in my personal opinion cover your ears for the autistic screeching incoming from that one guy, but it's still a shonen for kids.

I haven't read Electric Tale of Pikachu but I hear more praise for it than Pokéspe.

All the sun/moon season has done was turn another show into a stupid slap stick comedy like Teen Titans go. Love or hate x or y it was better than this garbage. There is no reason this should be the direction we got. They had a chance to do something awesome with it and they blew it because yo ki. They could have had adhesive come her on vacation with his mom after his adventures in kalosas a way to celebrate how well he did in the league. He then finds out that things are different Alolan region and did the trials. Upon completion he finds out there is a league and ends up becoming champion. Then with Gen 8 they could start with a new character like everyone has fucking wanted for years. Instead we get this comedy trash.
