I just had my Mooshock T-wave it , Switched to Batterex who downed it in Two Drain punches and a Sucker Punch.

Snoop, Tumblrita, EFG and Polk were the gym leaders that I downed in one try. Brock and Ebola Kanye both went down on second try after I readjusted my team and Items. Freddie and Darude were the only one who took multiple shots.

Just a heads up. Playing on the newest patch that was put on a clean squirrel rom, running on a GBA 3-in-1 on a DS Lite the game freezes/hangs when an enemy uses either flash cannon or moonblast. Not sure if this is known but after lurking for a few weeks and not seeing it mentioned I'm assuming it's something with using the 3-in-1 and not the moves themselves.
