I think that the show would look a lot better if they combined both styles.

Like if they kept the fluidity of SM, but took from XY's designs. SM didn't need to give him such a bland outfit that looks way too similar to the male SM protag. They didn't need to make his hair dull, or his face squiggles uglier, or make his hair dull.
