Used to play Pokemon go with my brother a lot. Actually got a new phone just so we could play together. And then he got discouraged when spoofers started taking out gyms. Like he'd be busy all week and then spend an hour trying to get healing items and quickly take down a few gyms only for them to be built back up by several phantoms in front of us. He started spoofing too just so he could actually get healing items. But then gen 2 came out and after a week it was apparent our area for shafted with spawns. He got annoyed of always hatching Staryu and finding hoothoots while every gym was pack full of Dragonite and blissey.
He started to see the only way to get Pokemon you want and hold gyms was either being in an expensive city or cheating. So he began to cheat and slowly everything felt pointless to him. You couldn't win honestly and cheating in a rather empty game felt trivial. It all fell apart for him and we just quit playing slowly.
I'm just playing by myself now. Granted I can't hold gyms much but I don't know what to spend my coins on anyways. I guess a hat?

I've been playing PokemonGO since it started up and I've never really had a problem before.

I don't play too much, I live in a small town in Texas so I generally only play for a few hours a week when I have time between classes on my college campus.

Today I opened my app and got a pop-up that basically said that my account looks like it is using 3rd party or edited software which breaks their ToS and they "strongly encourage" me to stop using it.

This is an issue since I don't use anything. I literally just open it on my phone and play. I don't really travel, so I can't imagine it is saying I jump to weird places. The farthest I've gone in the past year is to Dallas, about 90 minutes away.

The only thing I can think of is that as I move around the campus my phone will connect and disconnect to different wifi points. I'm not sure if this is throwing up any weird flags. Has anyone else had this happen, and is there any way I can fix it?

I just started playing yesterday, I am level 11 and haven't spent shop only items, powered up or evolved shit yet.

Alakazam is, for me, in the exact same condition it was before as far as moveset goes: 1 chance out of 3. Having both a Confusion/Psychic Espeon and a PsychoCut/Psychic Alakazam I can safely say both quick moves are OK, and actually since FutureSight is better than Psychic, I'd prefer PsychoCut as a quick move (charges up waaay faster, you can 2/3x PC between dodges while you can only 1x Confusion most of the time)

I just hit lvl 30 yesterday. I have still never caught or hatched a dratini. Water biomes seems extremely rare where I live. Even if I go to areas with water or fountains it's the same few pokemon I always see everywhere else. I even get excited when i see a Magikarp. Electric and fighting pokemon are also extremely rare.
My egg hatches haven't been much better. After gen 2 they rearranged things, but I wouldn't even know. I just hatched 2 goldeens in a row followed by 2 staryus and a tentacool. All of which are useless to me.
My best pokemon are Vaporean and Exeggutors.

I was level 30 until I moved to the suburbs. No pokestops, 1 gym in the area.

Mine is a similar CP to yours and has been there for weeks now. What more can I ask for considering most my other gyms were taken by alt account fags. However at least yours isn't above a Snorlax like mine.

Been trying to hype up other Mystic members in my city so we can actually take and retain gyms.

We just took down a Level 10 Valor gym (with the weakest Pokémon being over 3 000 CP) in ten minutes, and brought it up to Level 7 for us, minimum 3 500 CP.

Still going around downtown trying to strengthen what we have and take down the others. So far so good, considering it's been months without a Mystic gym being up for more than a day. So far we've had about 5 up for a week and going strong.

Are IV percentages misleading in terms of comparing where Pokémon land on the CP scale?
