I usually imagine a general sound and go with that. For example, I was expecting ORAS Archie's voice to sound really raspy, so his deep canon voice threw me for a loop.

But I have some specific voice headcanons, too. Usually vocalists instead of voice actors. (BTW, the Hoenn characters are all the ORAS versions.)

I always imagine Guzma being voiced by the guy who did Beelzemon in Digimon Tamers. He even keeps the accent for some reason.

That guy plays Linda Belcher is my headcanon voice to Wicke.

To be fair, he plays a very convincing lady.

I do imagine how characters sound, but I don't think I've ever imagined them as sounding like specific real people, and definitely not anime dub actors.
