Sun/Moon. They're both fun games

I can draw some enjoyment out of all of them because I genuinely like the core gameplay of the series even if I don't generally like an entry

Honestly it was X. Before that, Platinum.

Around the time Platinum came out I was really starting to get fatigued with the series, barely spending any time in HGSS, and BW really rubbed me the wrong way in a number of regards. I would've quit the series, but then a close friend convinced me to play XY with him and it reminded me why I liked the franchise in the first place. But then ORAS was slapped together as lazily as it was, and SM was basically BW with a bigger Kanto boner, so I've been gradually losing interest ever since.
