Yeah, I was prestiging a friendly gym on campus in the parking lot of one of the research buildings (no student classes inside).

The cop acted lik he had no idea why someone would be sitting there mashing a mobile game with pokemon on it.

For defending, Vaporeon Snorlax and Dragonite are still in the top 10, Blissey and Tyranitar are with them due to 3000+ CP and exemplary defenses/offenses (respectively), Lapras was knocked off the top 10 with a CP nerf. Offensively Tyranitar is the best due to its high CP and large attack value, Machamp is necessary to eliminate Tyranitar and Blissey and Snorlax, Espeon/Alakazam/Gengar have extremely high DPS moves/DPS from stats, other than that Dragonite and Rhydon are still pretty strong, and Scizor / Donphan are also pretty good offensively with decent CP ranges.

You could always keep one that's under half of Dragonite's mid/max CP so that you can prestige easily if you've got a good Dragonite, so it's not a waste to invest a wee bit.

As an attacker yes I would be upset at 10 IV, but let's look at Lapras's best offensive movesets, because I'm pretty sure Ice Beam has been buffed since Gen 1.

Frost Breath: Attacks = 100/8, 12.5 attacks to 100 energy. Damage is 8 (x1.25 from STAB), so 12.5 x 8 x 1.5 = 150. Time to 100 energy = 12.5 x cast time 0.9, 11.25 seconds.

Ice Beam: 2 x 90 x 1.25 / 2 x 3.3 seconds
Blizzard: 130 x 1.25 / 3.1 seconds

FB/IB: 375 (x1.25 if SE)/17.85 seconds, 21.01
FB/B: 312.5 (x1.25 if SE)/14.35 seconds, 21.77

So you're not really missing out if you use Ice Beam, though you're more vulnerable to charge moves.

Wrong. Spoofing is born from the real life need to travel in order to play this game. It can easily be remedied by balancing Pokemon spawns between rural areas and cities, making spoofing both useless and pointless. It's not ban worthy, and never has been. Simply making it possible to potentially obtain all mons in any given area, without the need for expensive cross-country/global travelling would make the game playable again. Also, scanners aren't debatable, the whole point of scanners is to find Pokemon, which is generally the point of this game. Considering that playing this game without a scanner and hoping to get anywhere is like looking for a needle in a haystack, scanning is definitely justified. I'll give them props in the current in game scanner, however, without any hint of direction, you can really only find mons near pokestops, and since stops are less common in rural areas, it renders itself utterly useless in these areas. Again, fix the game, and the players will fix themselves.

The major problem with this game is people with alt accounts. They take up multiple spaces in the same gym and knock out their own teammates rather than taking down new gyms. That kind of faggotry is supremely annoying. I don't have the best mons or a super high level but I can single handledly take out lv10 gyms. When someone knocks down a lv3 gym one level to build it up again, rather than train it to level 4 they're doing some seriuosly stupid shit.

How does the game decide where to spawn pokemon? At pokestops is a given, but it's usually crap. All the good stuff flies under the radar on untracked grounds, but some areas seem dense with pokemon while others are barren no matter how close they are to pokestops.

Well, I've been playing the game since release and I never saw, let alone caught a wild Dragonite. In the two weeks of spoofing, I caught literally 18 times the amount of Dragonites, hundreds of Dratinis and Dragoniairs, several Chanseys, Blisseys and nearly 100 Larvitars, Pupitars and even a couple of Tyranitars. Add that weith Pinap berries and I have candies and stardusts for daaaaaaaaaaaaaays.

Truthfully speaking the thought has crossed my mind once or twice. I was close to it when they recently meddled with attacks and introduced new ones. To see a lot of the pokemon that took months to actually obtain suddenly become invalidated or inferior because the new attacks were simply better frustrated me to no end. At this point in time I feel like I'll be a lot better off just focusing on completing the dex until I see what Niantic do to overhaul gyms.

Here's my level 35 Tyranitar. 3,382CP, 15/15/15, but it has a less than ideal moveset. Evolved and leveled up from a level 10 Larvitar so I'm hoping for another one to pop up soon for a better moveset, or move tutors/TM/HMs to be introduced to the game.

I have a couple other 97% and 91% Larvitars ready to go, but hoping for another 100% soon. Hoarding those candies until I really have to use them.
