>No new fossilmons in Gen VII
JUST
there was none in Gen II either
>>32003777
Nice trips but it's been a tradition since gen 3
alola is too hot, fossils all melted
johto is close enough to kanto that there wouldnt be any different ones
>>32003829
>fossils
>melted
Fucking idiot
The islands' sparse local fossil record is dominated by corals and mollusks. The Waianae coast of Oahu preserves Pleistocene reef communities including organisms like algae, coral, foraminiferans, and molluscs. Hawaii's terrestrial fossil record includes Quaternary bird remains preserved in sand dunes and sinkholes.

>expecting fossils on volcanic islands
Do you even paleontology?
>>32003777
It's the same reason why there was no safari zone
It was an incredibly buggy mess in gen 1

>fossils melted
kek
>>32003773
Fossil pokemon were extinct in million years ago, they're killed by the meteor before new life starts and new pokemon were born.
>>32003773
I actually don't mind this. Not every game needs a new fossil set. They inevitably get ignored after each game anyway so sometimes using older ones keeps them fresh.
>>32004504
1. No it wasn't
2. What does that have to do with anything?

is this board always this stupid?
>>32003777
Is this a Johto reference?

Multiple Jaw and Sail Fossils still haven't been made a thing yet. It's weird, considering multiple fossils coming shortly after their corresponding mon's introduction have been a thing since Gen IV.

I don't see the problem.

now whos the idiot
>>32004675
>what are subfossils
>>32003773
I'll never understand the obsession with fossils. They're literally just normal Pokemon. Unlike starters, they're not available early and are reliable, and unlike Pseudos, they're mostly shit. There's literally nothing that separates them from normal Pokemon, yet everyone seems obsessed with them.
>>32003829
>fossils melted
No this has to be bait
>>32005594
exactly, we could have gotten cool island animals like the Dodo, dwarf elephant, elephant bird, megalania, etc. but Instead we got waifus and legendaries
>>32005618
this
>>32004675
Maybe they could have had it so Alolans had different functioning fossil reviving technology, thus Alolan form fossils!
>>32005638
well, if we're talking about "alolan form fossils" the main difference would be size. Island dwafism was incredibly common among dinosaurs in particular i.e. a sauropod on an island would be significantly smaller than a sauropod on the mainland due to there being less food, even though they are still the same species. So if there were an alolan amaura, it would be less than half the size of a regular one.
>>32005747
and yes I'm disregarding the fact that alola is probably very new in geological time so it wouldn't have had dino pokemon because it's fucking pokemon.
>>32005747

Pokemon use science when they fucking whant to, buddy
