With his typing, a garden is literally Quagsire's worst nightmare. If you went near him with some blades of grass or some flowers, he'd keel over and die. You'd have to keep him indoors while mowing the lawn.

they dont get hurt by grass they are hurt by grass type attacks, pokemon attacks are like a sort of magic
otherwise everything would be dead all the time from walking in the grass
or drinking water
or going out on a windy day
or a particularly hot and sunny day
or sensing gay people's auras
etc.
