3DS hacking. It's super easy to do (Google "soundhax", but I'm not sure if it works in the latest version).

From there you can just backup your save, re-play the game and import your save again if you want to play your old save.

Be careful with the nintendo ninjas though, game syncing two different saves is a known way to get yourself banned, but you can unban yourself if you know what you're doing
