Generation II games burn through their saved batteries really, really quickly(they last about two years on average).

Local used gamestories sell ones with replaced batteries for around 20, and the stock doesn't really move all that fast.

Before anybody even thinks of paying 30 dollars for this they'd need some sort of snapshot to confirm it can hold a save for more than 10 minutes.
