Thoughts on the Rotomdex?

I enjoyed his banter throughout the game, but I have issue with how while the function of a constant minimap, wayfinder, and reminder of where to go if needed would lend itself greatly to a more "open" world design, the region is probably the most linear yet. That isn't Rotomdex's fault, though.

Hate it.

Fundamentally I just hate the concept of talking Pokémon, but Rotomdex's dialogue is annoying too. It's also a terrible use of the bottom screen.

I like it but at times it felt like it wanted to get all up in my Chicken-chan's business if you know what I mean.

I did like how it told you where to go and useful stuff like that. While I don't need to be told where to go, it greatly helped my 9 year old cousin play. Normally, I have to help her out with this sort of stuff, but that wasn't necessary this time around. I appreciate GF trying to make a Pokedex more useful.

I thought he would be more snarky and pop up more, but he only talks to other characters for all of two scenes or so.

Also, he needs more postgame phrases, especially considering he asks about the Battle Tree and Ultra Beasts even after you do those things.

The least practical bottom screen we had since bottom screens where invented.

The 'next goal' function was cool for young players and for me when I just smash A while watching a movie.

I just wish we could change it's screen to show other things too, like my team for faster interaction.
