Gardevoir comes out, it's 50/50, it's fine, whatever. Why then, at that point, would you not LET the player evolve a female Kirlie into Gallade if they wanted to?

There is literally no reason. At all. It's just limiting player choice, and it's made all the worse by the fact that using a stone on Kirlia is obviously a deliberate choice.

Like I don't care that much but it's literally sexism. They tried to 'fix' Gardevoir by making Gallade, which did not need fixing to start with and is a misguided decision in and of itself, but their only ACTUAL mistake was making Gallade male only. They didn't fix a problem, they made one.
