What's really the best way to run this guy?
People say go with a standard special set which is a lot safer yet its higher physical attack makes wild charge and brave bird hit pretty fucking hard, coupled with roost support, and a pivot like u-turn (in case of being walled by ground types)
I'm currently stuck on which set I should run.
I would just go with what caters towards your team best, but I personally prefer special Koko cause Im basic and dont take risks
I just wish this thing had Play Rough. Or that there were more physical fairy type moves.

Because fairy types aren't cancerous enough.
The lack of physical Fairy STAB holds back pure physical sets. I'd just wait until Gamefreak gives it more options to work with in the future if your ever willing to make use of it's higher attack.
Run it mixed, leaning towards Special

Best Tapu Koko set is:
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Ice
- Volt Switch
- U-turn

Wait until it gets knock off and superpower then go physical all day every day. Physicals biggest issue is it gets walled even harder than special does.

this.
Both T-Bolt and U-Turn are incredibly valuable and you can't give up either of them. HP Ice kills switchins and can even revenge

Wild Charge and Brave Bird do hit hard, its just that with life orb recoil, Koko dies in two turns.
