Using this team in my Heartgold playthrough. Favorite member is Donphan. He just takes hits and Earthquakes everything into oblivion. Currently at the E4

Why would you not evolve straight into Nidoking? Nidorino doesn't learn anything remotely decent, and you miss out on Thrash if you evolve later than Lv22.

Ninetales vs Rapidash is tricky because they're pretty similar in FRLG. Ninetales is available earlier and gets support moves like Will-O-Wisp, but Rapidash has way higher Attack. I'd go with Rapidash myself, but you could always pick up a Vulpix first and see how it fares.

Trying something different in Sun. I'm going to catch and level evenly 18 Pokemon, each one having a different primary type. I figure since Exp Share essentially gives you 3.5x times the normal amount of experience points that it ought to work out pretty well.

I think I'm going to replace Metapod with Cutiefly.
