I had a shiny Gastly show up in Pelago a few days ago. Dumped 50 rainbow beans for it and the other two Pokemon it showed up with stayed

None, all my full odds non-hunt shiny encounters so far have been 4/4 successful catches. 3 in Platinum (2 of them before I finished exploring all areas, 1 a little after) and 1 in White. :^)

I've fainted both wild shiny Pyroar and Eevee.

That Pyroar was the third one I found and it was female, just as the two others were. I regained the shiny Eevee in basically no time and got a shiny Aipom out of the deal anyway.

I find my first shiny in Y, it was a luvdisc.

Accidentally ran away form a Shiny Oddish because I thought when you hit left on bag it went to attack. It goes to run.

Found a shiny Nidoran Male the next day though, so it's cool. Still wish it was something better but beggars can't be choosers.

I lost three shinies when my downloaded Pokémon X had a save glitch (similar to the infamous Lumiose one, but in a house in Shakour City(?)) and had two shinies stolen by someone offering to hold onto my Pokémon. I still have 3 other shinies though. All were randomly encountered, so my luck isn't that bad.

I was fishing in crystal or silver i think.
I found a shiny corsela and i freaked out and threw a masterball at it.
I reset my game afterwards because i felt i wasted my masterball on something that wasnt a roaming legendary.
