Yep, Raichu died to pretty much every physical attack. Comfey wasn't too bad actually - Triage Draining Kiss + Calm Mind swept a fair few AI teams - but its coverage sucked.

I went into Gen 7 without planning a team so I just picked up things that looked cool. I guess the things I liked didn't really overlap with the things that were good

the lack of new Pokemon who are good Special Attackers is really limited, as well... I feel with Gen 7, the creators had in mind for people to mix their teams with older Pokemon.. because some of the newer ones work really well in combination with "classics"
