Gen 1's aesthetic has its own appeal, despite how shitty it can arguably be.

my pokemon wet dream is now that they eventually put out a mainline Pokemon game on the switch that is just as impressive as BotW seems to be.

Why on earth would you go for a R/S/E N64 game? Just do Gamecube for that. Also, what you're thinking of is that they used the same models for PRIOR gens, gen 3 mons got higher poly models.
