Why do you want to remove lines you dislike? Other people like those lines. Plus, if there were fewer lines, you'd run into the problem Kalos and Alola have: no identity with their mons. You don't have to like every mon in the dex because they don't design them all to appeal to everyone.

I, personally, like almost every single mon in the Unova dex. I could go without the muskedeers, Meloetta, and Audino, but it doesn't mean I actually want them removed. Tons of people like them.

Equally so, I genuinely hate a lot of the designs of Sinnoh mons. But I don't want them removed just because of that, either. They don't appeal to me and that's ok.
