As stated, skippable tutorials. Make the ability to skip hidden in the options though - if somebody is new, they may still mash b. But if they are new, they are very unlikely to go into the options menu to fiddle with stuff right away, and it would also make it obvious what's being disabled

As for any long time fans who wouls complain about going to the menu? Most would be going into it anyways to change the text speed reguardless so at that point it's just whining
