At least Ice is a powerful offensive type and everyone wants Ice coverage if they can get it.

No one wants Psychic, neither the typing itself for either offense or defense or as a coverage move. All good Psychic types, like Metagross or Slowbro, are held back by their Psychic typing and would be better off without it.

Only Tapu Lele is an exception because of its broken ability.

Psychic has a depressingly large amount of pure-psychic pokemon with mediocre stats.
Alakazam is the only non-legendary that can pull off pure-psychic, but that's because of how fucking strong it is.
