>Gamefreak actually posted an analysis of how good Garchomp is
Garchomp nerf when?
Reminder that GF will never write such a paragraph about Flygon, because Flygon will always be shit and will never have a mega
>>31953806
F-fuck off!
>>31953806
I'll be laughing in 59 years when Flygon finally does get a Mega Evo!

It's written by cockmunchers from Nugget Bridge (rip in piss) who literally do it >for free

>This is what the anime would sound like if it acknowledged advanced game mechanics
Terrifying
>Cursed Body Garchomp
>>31953343
m8 they know how good Garchomp is, it was #1 in BS singles all throughout gen 6, there's just no way to nerf it without removing its status as a pseudo legendary
>>31954525
Nerf its movepool.
>>31954481
Does it really hurt him? He already uses Rough Skin.
All they really need to do in order to nerf Garchomp is to reallocate 3 of its base speed points into another stat
>>31954525
Introduce Incognito Icicles
BOOM! Less Landorus-T and Garchomp. Sorry Grass types.
Nerf speed by 3 points
>>31954986
It only really needs Outrage and EQ.
>>31955472
>>31955605
This would just destroy what makes it special in the first place.
>>31953343
>GF thinks Garchomp is good because of held items that any Pokemon can hold
>>31956119
Versatility of the sets a Pokémon can effectively run IS a strength. It makes it harder to predict without sacrificing power.
>>31955488
Introduce Regenerative Roses, placed on your side of the field and cause Grass types to recover 50% of their health when switching in.
>>31956099
>This would just destroy what makes it special in the first place.
And that's a problem because?
>>31954525
Sure there is. Buff crap pokemon with increased base stats, better abilities, and wider movepools so the power gap isn't so wide.
>>31956146
Because there would be less features to distinguish Pokémon from each other, making the game more dull.
>>31956099
what makes it special, being overpowered and overused as fuck?
>>31956186
The speed. Removing Outrage or reducing attack would be more reasonable ways to nerf it.
Other Pokémon fuck up the singles balance more than Garchomp does if you look past Alola friendly.
>>31956155
That's not what nerfing is, and even so, no amount of shitters getting buffed is going to change Garchomp's utility unless a rival dragon type comes along that's even better than it
>>31953343
You said good, not broken.
So why does it need a nerf? What's wrong with a Pokemon being consistent?
See, it's not that Gamefreak sucks at balancing, it's that they don't give a fuck. They know what pokemon they want to turn into popular darlings, they make it OP, and obviously they get used a lot. They are just lazy or apathetic when they give out abilities like damp to parasect, or vital spirit to delibird
What would you preffer? current garchomp with its speed and all, or a slower garchomp (say, base 97) with acess to sand rush as an ability?
>regular Garchomp gets Sand Stream
>Mega Garchomp gets Sand Rush
Did I fix it?
>>31956431
>439 attack on something with an effective speed of 622
you just made Gen 5 Excadrill look like babyshit
>>31956144
>Suddenly Tangrowth is ubers
Don't you dare break my spaghetti man
Might be fun tho
>>31956206
>Removing outrage
In this meta, that's a fucking buff. Lowering the attack is the only way to actually nerf it
>>31953343
Its impact desu. Iconic
>>31956215
In a sense it's a passive nerf if many things are buffed enough to handle garchomp.
>>31956431
No you broke it beyond any believe that someone could do so.
