They're not going to remake Kanto AGAIN, they have VC R/B so what would be the point in doing another remake, the 20th anniversary is over, R/B is already on VC, the movie is the 20th Anniversary of the Pokemon movies, not Pokemon in General.

Remakes of R/B aren't happening again so stooooooop.

It should happen because Kanto is far more outdated than Sinnoh by being Gen III at best and could benefit massively from a remake even in Gen VII, while Sinnoh doesn't really need one at all other than to attempt to please its fans.

That said, I wouldn't expect it to happen. It just should.

Anon, remakes happen for the sole reason of updating a game, and only happen when there is demand for it. Both of these apply to Kanto. A Kanto remake is coming, sooner than you think. It might not be the very next game, but it'll happen soon enough.

Kanto is some boring garbage as a region, and unless you resort to romhacks the mechanics are painfully outdated at worst in FRLG and at best absolutely fucking busted in RBY. A new remake would bring the mechanics up to speed and could give them the chance to give it the overhaul it needs to make it good. That's why it should happen.
