Victory road in Ruby, saw what I thought was a black Golbat. Was disappointed when it evolved into a pink Crobat, was hoping it would be black too. Lost the cart ages ago

I was in a Shiny Hunting thread showing off my boxes of Flabebes and groaning about my lack of luck in finding a Shiny one. Although I only had 3 boxes so it wasn't THAT bad yet.

Then some guy told me that he had a Shiny Floette that he didn't want and he'd trade it to me for a ditto.

I thought this was a joke at first but I added his FC anyway and lo and behold he did have one and he actually traded it to me! It was even the yellow one which I wanted!

First ever shiny encounter: Rattata (Either Gold or Silver version, don't remember exactly). Accidentally KO(stupid crit).

Gen 3 - Shiny Sentret via breeding(Don't have this one anymore)

Gen 4 - Shiny Caterpie(with a Timid nature to boot), now a shiny Butterfree who has been hyper trained.

Gen 5 - Never gotten any shinies in gen 5(and I've played through it 5 times).

Gen 6 - Shiny Roselia(Hasty nature), now a shiny Roserade, hyper trained of course.

Gen 7 - Shiny Cottonee, kind of negated by the fact that I got four shinies of it in gen 6.

I grew up reading encyclopedias and animal books and stuff, so for my dumbass preteen brain, I just figured all the breeding was finally making progress. I still have that buneary.

>Was breeding Scyther and had just swapped out the 3IV mother for a 4IV one, and on the third egg a 5IV Scyther popped out. Wrong ability, but a kind soul gave me an Ability Capsule. So I had a pentaperfect shiny, he became my pride and joy.
>Was breeding Darumaka. Same story as above, but I got it on the first egg after the parent swap and it had 4 perfect IVs, but HP was 30 so very nearly pentaperfect. Also a bro.
