Maybe it's more than just a remasterization, maybe it's the story we know but in the Mega Universe, were the XY arc took place. That could explain the slightly different clothes.

Also, it looks like the movie is the reason why they changed the animation style for SM, the animation team from XY had to make the movie, so, they couldn't work doing the anime as well due to the lack of time.

There's no proof of that yet - We see a quick shot of Ash running (which he did in the original before he got the bike) and him being flung to the ground - Which could be him either being thrown from the bike or while he's still running before seeing the bike and stealing it.

It's a simple trope where a character grows to like someone they initially had a lower opinion of. This made me realize just how similar Pikachu and Charizard are to Ash.

They were both not Pokemon he'd pick, but only choose because he had no other option left. Both, at some point, disobeyed him. Through Ash showing genuine care for them, they both grow to like him. They both had their moment where Ash left them behind and the Trainer and Pokemon cried. Both still shock/burn Ash even after all this time.

Honestly, just thinking about it made me want to see him again. Not even a Zardfag, but I really liked Ash's Zard.
