Looks like Gengar has risen to A rank.

This is true, but public favor has a much larger effect on usage than people realize, and usage changes which counters are more viable. So it does mean something.

These kids are so slow to notice. Levitate being gone is great. My gengar sucks up toxic spikes like crazy. Tge second I saw everyine running scard lele. Mega meta, and phero, i put a scarf on my gengar and killed everybody. Timid to check d dancers, modest for high ogko chance on mega gross. Trick well predicted shuts down chansey and stall. People were laughing when they saw my gen 7 beta week 1 gengar, saying i was a bad player to run such a useless niche. Kids are slow.

Sheer bulk. I think Tangrowth might have a shot if it weren't for the fact that LO Close Combat + Technician HP Ice is a KO on the Defensive set while LO Close Combat alone 2HKOes the AV set. Tapu Fini or Mega Sableye is your best bet against what'll probably be standard (CC, Spectral Thief, HP Ice, Filler) and even those die to CB sets with any prior damage.
