Should NPCs ever use legendaries and hidden abilities?
Gladion
Trainers in battle facilities have done so for a long time.
I'd like to see a few Champions/E4 at least using hidden abilities. Legendaries would probably screw up the lore though, except in cases where it IS the lore.

What is Alola's Morimoto? (His Dragonite has Multiscale)

Only if you can too.

Hidden Abilities? After halfway through the game they should start using them more often as you go along.
Legendaries? Only if they have a plot reason to do so, i.e. N.

I unironically agree with this
They should make a challenge mode where some had HA but no legends. Like BW2. Except you'd not have to beat the game first or whatever the fuck that shit was
Boss NPCs should use guns, mechs, and other non pokemon things.
Legendaries should be limited to plot related reasons like N, or Legendaries there are known to be multiple of, like Heatran.

Every minor legendary (ie: legendary dogs, regis, lati@s, Cresseliam, etc) is fairgame. There's no reason why very strong trainers shouldnt have them. Benga had Latios, DPPt tag-along trainers had them too.
N had a legendary
I wouldnt mind some NPCs having legends, like for example Diantha hould have Diancie, Sten could have the other Lati that didnt join usin ORAS while Lillie could have Solgaleo/Lunala dependson the version

Fucks the lore up

The lore is just that: lore. It's already fucked up. The Pokédex states that there are multiple Lati@s. We literally see trainers in DPPt Battle Tower using Regis, Cresselia, Heatras, etc.
Legendaries that aren't the Ho-Oh, Lugia, Weather Trio, Creation Trio, Tao Trio, Xerneas or Yveltal aren't unique, just rare and powerful.
Mythicals aren't unique either, but they are EVEN rarer so I'd rather no one use them.
