It was banned for it's power on Deo-Sharp teams, and Bisharp isn't as terrifying as t used to be, and Skarmory is almost as good for stacking hazards anyway. The main thing that sets it apart is Magic Coat. I'd at least give it a suspect test.

The OU now isn't the same as the OU back then. It's plausible that the current OU would be able to handle him.

I think the current Meta can handle it. Most major threats in OU now can 2HKO it, especially with stealth rocks up. It also helps deal with Tapu Lele.
